Done with pencil crayon. I was thinking "gosh, I shall walk up to the comic store and buy Runaways" but I had to wait for my laundry to finish first so I doodled this. Tried to do more of the "fuck I stuck ym finger in the electric socket" hairdo thing they tend to give him fairly often, but I lasped back into his old outfit automatically.

And this time we'll stay inside 'til the lights go down over the palm trees and the sand.
Okay. So, his mutant power is this weird biokinetic psionic energy crap, right? This also makes him psychic, but he's lousy at that. Anyhow. The first time he manifested his mutant powers he was feeling his girlfriend up in a closet and I guess he got a little over-excited because the manifestation resulted in him ripping this huge hole in himself. So everything in his lower face/chest region was destroyed and replaced with this funky energy stuff that keeps him alive. Sort of. His body's pretty much just a shell for the psi-energy.
He's got a freak complex about it that gets kind of funny sometimes.
